Grand Central Station (New York City-Manhattan)

imageYou've seen this place in a ton of movies, but nothing can prepare you for actually standing there in person and taking it all in. The Grand Central Terminal as it is officially called, is breathtaking in it's beauty in addition to being an architectural marvel that serves thousands of travelers by train on 67 tracks every day.

Stand inside the main concourse you will find yourself staring at the iconic clock that graces the center of the room over the ticket windows. Look up at the cerulean sky and you will find yourself staring at the constellations of the heavens. It's a real jaw dropper. You can also see directories for trains and tracks, when they are arriving, leaving etc. Standing there I found myself imagining days gone when most folks traveled by train instead of plane.

Stroll around amidst a true cross section of New Yorkers while you sample anything from a burger, to some gourmet delights and a cocktail. It's no wonder Grand Central Terminal is one of the most visited sites in NYC.
