Ted’s Montana Grill (Atlanta)

For a unique dining experience we opted to try media mogul and Atlanta native son Ted Turner’s Ted’s Montana Grill—Ted Turner, who started CNN and at one time owned the Atlanta Braves, is the second  largest individual  land owner in the United States.  He owns 2 million acres of ranch land in 5 states and manages 55,000 head of bison as well as cattle. This ranch style restaurant chain  showcases bison meats but you can also order steak, chicken and fish.  The atmosphere is casual and family friendly, and there are tons of interesting photos, props and memorabilia to check out on the walls.

The food here was really delicious and everyone gave it a thumbs up!  I was hoping one of my gang would have been adventurous and ordered a bison burger but we had no takers.  Truth be told I wasn't game either-I had the cranberry glazed roasted chicken which was outstanding. This place was packed so if you're heading over, make  reservations.  What's really great is it's located right off of Centennial Olympic Park home to the World of Coca Cola and the Georgia Aquarium so it's a great place to go once you've worked up an appetite walking around.
