Arriving here, I think Isaac and Joel felt that they died and went to heaven. This place is just incredible if you are a basketball fan. There was so much so see and do here that I had a hard time prying everyone out the door to move on, especially on the main floor where there's a real court and various hoops to test your skills. This is not a place you expect to be in a town like Springfield, but it's here because this is where the game of basketball was invented, as a game for kids to play indoors when it was snowing outside. Originally played with a ball and two peach baskets, the game became wildly popular evolving into the sport we know and love today. See and learn about the history and the legendary greats of the game from college to the pros. There are lots of great interactive displays that the kids will love. See how high you can jump and test your rebounding skills. Play against a cyber pro measure your wingspan against Kevin Durant's. See Shaq's size 23 sneaker among other super cool memorabilia.
Like me, basketball might not be your thing, but you can still have fun. Indulge your inner fantasy of being a broadcaster. Sit in the mock studio and read off the teleprompter and then watch yourself on the screen and see how you did.
It was a great experience and if you love basketball it's a definite DO NOT MISS.
