Oklahoma has a wonderful riverwalk that's also known as Bricktown. It's a wonderful place to grab lunch or dinner, spend a little time shopping, even check out a minor league ballgame at the Bricktown Ballpark. Did you know that baseball great Johnny Bench was from Oklahoma? We had lunch at this fantastic little italian pizza joint. The owner whose name was Chris looked like he was straight out of Brooklyn, heck he might have even been in the witness protection program-he literally looked like he walked off the set of the Sopranos. He was super friendly and took great care of us making us 2 enormous pies. He told us he'd moved here from New York to start fresh and live a slower paced life. The pizza was as wonderful as he was entertaining. Sadly, I think the place closed down because I couldn't find any mention of it anywhere in trying to post a link. Oh well, I hope our friend is doing well in whatever new venture he finds himself in. For dinner try the Bricktown Brewery which is still there, banging out delicious bar food. The kids all gave it a thumbs up. The moms were really needing a cocktail by the end of the day, but since one had to drive and one had to manage the kids, we opted for iced tea instead. Everyone will love the pizzas, burgers, fries, and salads. A resounding thumbs up!
Try dinner at the Bricktown Brewery. Bricktown is where everything is happening!
