So after a long day of driving and seeing the sites in Louisiana, and right after our carriage ride through the French Quarter the crew was famished and so the hunt began for a family friendly place to eat-which can be a little challenging in the Big Easy. Thankfully we happened upon the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company Restaurant and Market on Decatur Street. My crew won't eat any shellfish, but they will eat fish with fins and scales. Everyone in the group had seen the movie Forrest Gump so it was fun to check out the decor. It was a bit of a wait but when we finally sat down, the kids got menus to color . We ordered up and when the food came it was really quite good. Some fish and chips and some grilled redfish arrived and the table. It was all really tasty. Our waiter was super friendly and a good time was had by all. The food wasn't cheap by any means but when you are desperate for family friendly eats in a location that doesn't offer many options, you go with what you can find.
