The Gibson Guitar Factory Tour is a wonderful place to watch American ingenuity and craftsmanship at its very best. We were fascinated watching and learning how guitars are constructed from start to finish. You cannot believe what goes into making these beautiful instruments and the incredibly talented folks who bring them to life. From molding and drying the wood into the unique shape, to the finishing process, the assembling, stringing and testing-every step is done with pride and care the all American way. I just loved the way that this factory tour fit right in with the theme on this trip-Civil Rights and American Music.
You will definitely need reservations as this tour is popular and the factory does not allow photos as they don’t want Fender or any other competitors to get any of their secrets. Unfortunately the only pic you’ll be taking is the free souvenir guitar pic you get at the end of the tour. Check out the neat gift shop with the really cool jukebox. DO NOT MISS!
