It's really hard to explain Pigeon Forge. It's sort of like the Vegas strip but instead of casinos, it's chock full of kitschy entertainment built for family fun. The traffic during the summer was just ridiculous along the main drag as we headed to the Titanic Museum taking about 20 minutes to move about a mile. Thankfully I had already reserved our tickets and if you go I suggest you do the same as this place had crazy lines and sold out very quickly. Upon realizing this was probably a Ripley’s Believe It or Not experience I was really skeptical, but once inside I was blown away by the collection of artifacts and the interactive exhibits that helped you connect with the passengers and crew of the ill-fated ship. It's a self guided tour but there are costumed guides to help you along the way. This "museum" was really well done and the kids and I especially loved being able to put our hands into the water in a room lit up like the dark sky the ill fated passenger might have seen and feel how cold it was. Touching that water really helped us connect to the experiences of the survivors that we read about as we progressed on the tour. There is no doubt this is one of the higher quality attractions in Pigeon Forge and it's definitely worth seeing.
