Our initial take on New Hampshire is it's very woodsy and natural. Forests are everywhere and the natural landscape is very green. Buried in little enclaves in the woods are some adorable little towns, one example is the town of Hanover which is also home to Dartmouth college. As we drove from Franconia-where the poet Robert Frost made his home, down through the White Mountains in the middle of the state, we also passed through the town of Plymouth where we stopped and grabbed some lunch. Unfortunately as we continued on to the state capitol building and then to Portsmouth we hit a terrible rain storm that sadly sidelined most of our plans to explore for the rest of the afternoon. There is supposedly a cool revolutionary war museum in Exeter that sadly we missed. New Hampshire's motto is "Live Free or Die". I wish we'd had more of a chance to get a sense of what that meant in this beautiful state, but sometimes mother nature has other plans for you.
