Sometimes it's hard to get everyone excited about traveling, and even if they're up for it, not everyone wants to do museums and historical stuff all the time-and I count myself in that group too..lol. Here's a great way to get your ardent sports fans excited about road trip travel and connect on a whole other level. Whether it's major league baseball, … [Read more...]
Baseball Hall of Fame (Cooperstown)
Although no one is my family is a huge baseball fan, there was no way we were going to pass through upstate New York and not pay our respects and this veritable shrine to America's favorite pastime. Upstate New York is a charming and beautiful place dotted with picturesque small towns. The most charming and beautiful of all is Cooperstown which to me felt like a Norman Rockwell painting come to life-lovely houses … [Read more...]
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (Cleveland)
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is just the epitome of cool. Walking in, we were greeted with stage props from U2 and Pink Floyd concerts, just to name a few. I was overwhelmed as I was instantly I was taken back to my late teens watching MTV and VHI remembering the U2 video with those Russian cars. I had to pinch myself a few times to make sure this was really happening.... Here in front of me floating overhead … [Read more...]
Country Music Hall of Fame (Nashville)
A visit to Nashville is not complete without checking out the Country Music Hall of Fame. Approaching the building, you will see that it looks like the keys on the piano. I wish we could have taken pictures inside of some of the amazing stuff we saw, but sadly the Hall of Fame does not allow photography. Walking through the exhibits we learned about the history of country music and the legendary artists. Did … [Read more...]
Lambeau Field (Green Bay)

This town is all about football and we felt it as we drove through making our way to the stadium wearing our cheese heads of course. Walking up to the entrance we were greeted by a statue of one of the greatest and most beloved men to ever coach the game, Vince Lombardi. It wasn't football season so the … [Read more...]
The International Bowling Hall of Fame (St. Louis)
I wish the kids and I had actually gotten a chance to check out International Bowling Museum and Hall of Fame, instead we were killing time in the St. Louis Cardinals team shop across the street....Ugh—I can’t stress enough the importance of checking hours of operation before you set out each day-this is a great example of missing something truly great because I wasn't on top of my info. By the time we … [Read more...]
BasketBall Hall of Fame (Springfield)
Arriving here, I think Isaac and Joel felt that they died and went to heaven. This place is just incredible if you are a basketball fan. There was so much so see and do here that I had a hard time prying everyone out the door to move on, especially on the main floor where there's a real court and various hoops to test your skills. This is not a place you expect to be in a town like Springfield, but it's here because … [Read more...]
The National Wrestling Hall of Fame (Stillwater)
The National Wrestling Hall of Fame is where you can find everything you always wanted to know about wrestling, all in one location. Since we were passing through and needed a pit stop to stretch our legs I thought this would be something interesting and educational even if it was just a quick visit. This stop was ok, low key and definitely not on the high tech or glamorous side. We walked around looking at the … [Read more...]
