Unlike Nashville and the Wild Horse Saloon, Memphis did not offer any kid friendly clubs to enjoy the Memphis music scene especially along Beale Street. After a whole day of discovering the land of Lincoln in Springfield and dinner at Perkins, we headed to Knight's Action Park, another family fun center with mini golf, go-karts, batting cages, and lots of cool rides, along with some kind of water park( that when we were there happened to be closed). After an intensely serious activity learning all about the Kennedy assassination, the kids and I needed some fun and a bit of a break from the Texas heat. We headed to Adventure Landing, another family fun center in one of the Dallas suburbs. At the end of a long hot day on the road, The Thunder Road Family Fun Center was the perfect place to indulge in some fun and games. The kids rode the go-karts and then we partook in a game of mini golf. I just love mini golf. During the second half of a flaming hot day, the kids wanted to cool off so we headed to the Hinkle Family Fun Center. It's always fun to run around and explore, but every so often everyone needs a break to just let loose for awhile.
