Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library (Springfield)
The kids and I have been to a few Presidential Libraries, and I have to say The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library is by far our favorite. Lincoln’s Tomb State Historic Site (Springfield)
Lincoln's Tomb State Historic Site is indeed is the burial place of Abraham Lincoln one of the most important presidents in the history of our country. The entrance to the tomb is marked by a beautiful monument with a bronze statue of Mr. Lincoln. We read in a few of our guidebooks that we were supposed to rub the nose of the statue for good luck. Weaver Potato Chip Factory Tour (Lincoln)
I was really sad to read that the Weaver Potato Chip Factory just closed costing 70 folks their jobs. Weaver's had been around for 76 years-and that's a long time. They had their ups and downs during hard economic times but with an infusion of some new investment money they were making progress turning the company around. Nebraska State Capitol Building (Lincoln)
The Nebraska State Capitol Building is a complete standout and one of my all time personal favorites and definitely wins the award for most decorative. It is completely unique unlike any other I've seen and I absolutely love it.
