Coney Island aka Luna Park (New York City-Brooklyn)

A visit to Brooklyn is not complete without at stop at Coney Island on the shore near Brighton Beach. Walk up to the ticket booth for The Luna Park amusement park amid the brightly colored rides and instantly you are 7 years old pulling on your parent sleeve begging to go explore. Don't expect much in comparison to a new theme park though. It's a place of nostalgia that hearkens back to simpler times. Our main … [Read more...]

The Jersey Shore and Boardwalk (Seaside Heights)

Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, and Kentucky

Sadly, it did not live up to everyone’s expectations which is what usually happens with these large over hyped activities.  As we do at every water park, we staked out our chairs and the kids were off and running. … [Read more...]

Sea World (San Antonio)

Texas

After shlepping around for a whole week and because my kids had been really well behaved I decided to give them a treat and end our trip with a bang by treating them to a day at Sea World.  I am not usually a fan of these big overpriced theme parks with their gift shops at the exit to every ride beckoning you to empty your wallet and lots of overpriced and over processed food around every corner but I must admit we … [Read more...]
