For an over the top original dinner, check out the most amazing grilled cheese restaurant ever…Melt Bar and Grilled! The University of Alaska in Fairbanks is an amazing campus-where else can you major in Arctic studies? It is also home to a wonderful museum about all things Alaska, The Museum of the North. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is just the epitome of cool. Walking in, we were greeted with stage props from U2 and Pink Floyd concerts, just to name a few. I was overwhelmed as I was instantly I was taken back to my late teens watching MTV and VHI remembering the U2 video with those Russian cars. As state capitol buildings go, the Ohio State Capitol Building is nice, but not spectacular-at least compared to some of the others we've seen. The rotunda is pretty in muted shades of rose and aqua but it just feels like it's missing a little pizzazz-you know what I mean, sugar and spice and everything nice. If you are like me, the only place you would associate with the Wright Brothers is Kitty Hawk in North Carolina. Cedar Point Park This park bills itself as “the best amusement park in the world.” I don’t know if I’d go that far, but it was a lot of fun and the kids got their ya-ya’s out on the roller coasters and other rides. Toledo is famous for glass production and The Toledo Museum of Art-Glass Pavillion showcases some of the most beautiful glass artifacts and sculptures from ancient times to the present. Everyone really enjoyed the opulent displays. The cut crystal was amazing, but everyone's favorites were the awesome modern art glass sculptures.
